Having studied astronomy with Spanish directions in the past, I had an idea to do things. Doing this course with Simon @ Aigua has opened my mind to fully understand and do, plus developing a capability to practice by my own anytime, what is terrific!!!! Super happy to have learned and enjoyed with all my course mates this week of ancient knowledge laid down in a very simple way so we can all understand.

From the day one the atmosphere was very nice and there was not a single dull moment.
Mr Simon Bradshaw was at all times keeping the course interesting and made his best effort towards us achieving the level of knowledge required for YM certificate. At the end it all payed out on our theoretical exam. So one more thanks to Simon who we had the pleasure of learning from.

Firstly, use a top flight Instructor. Simon was not only knowledgeable, but incredibly passionate that is clearly supported by a wealth of experience. Even the driest of topics was brought to life with a practical and simplified approach for use on the water. Not to mention, just a jolly nice bloke.

Just finished today the YM Ocean and getting already for the Oral now, I did my YM Offshore with them already. Once you know how good the team from Aigua is, why do you even need to think about going somewhere else. Simon Bradshaw, has been our instructor and its amazing how passionate and patience he is to be able to make you get all the information you need to learn in one week. Believe me, he does it. Just one more thanks to John-Paul and Rachael for their daily basis support. AIGUA SEA SCHOOL ROCKS!!!!!!!

SIMON IS AN INCREDIBLY KNOWLEDGEABLE INSTRUCTOR…
who conveys a deep passion in the course he teaches. He is incredibly patient when I was coming to grips with the course content in the first few days. The approach to course was practical as we perfected the use of the sextant and even went out in the Bay of Palma to make the sun sights. Not only that he is willing to provide guidance when I finally do the ocean passage. I highly recommend Simon as an instructor.

The Ocean course with Aigua was awesome. Our instructor, Simon, is so passionate about celestial nav and wants everyone to share some of his excitement. He makes a real effort to have both himself and the content be approachable – it’s not the simplest of subjects. The day out on the water was really useful as well as I didn’t even realize the mistakes I was making until my real sight values weren’t making sense.

As for the Ocean course, it was great. I couldn’t have asked for more if I’m honest. Simon explained things very clearly and went to lengths to ensure that each of us were comfortable with each stage of the syllabus.
